Introduction

We were keen to create the ultimate exhaust system for the R35 GTR, for the pure enthusiast with absolutely no compromise when it comes to quality. The result was the JCR Titanium Race Exhaust System.

Material Choice

The JCR Titanium Exhaust System features full KSTI-1,2 (ASNEX) construction, simply the best choice of material for the job. Many other manufacturers use far less expensive more common Grades of Titanium which are simply not up to the demands of a sustained high temperature exhaust application, leading to cracking and/or catastrophic failures.

All of the tube and bends are fabricated by hand, pressed first from flat sheet to the size / radius of our choice and then cut to suit. This ensures every gramme of weight can be saved while maintaining the strength required for a trouble free life.

How Does It Sound?

The video featured gives some idea of the unique sound that this exhaust produces. No gimmicks, simply a true Motorsport product for your R35 GTR to extract the maximum from your particular application.

Why Centre Exit?

I guess the next logical question and point that everyone will notice is that this particular system does away with the regular quad exit approach. There are a number of benefits to this:

  • Reduced Weight
  • Increased Flow
  • Increased Rear Aero Options

Whilst the centre exit may not be to everyone's taste there it no denying that this 102MM system will flow more and weigh less than the regular quad exit systems on the market today while also allowing for much more aggressive rear Aero Dynamics options to be explored. (watch this space)

Front Section

We start off with two Billet CNC titanium front flanges which are designed to match the profile of the stock and/or aftermarket downpipes to ensure fitment is across the board.

The two 76MM (I/D) front sections feature twin double slip-joints rather than the regular flex sections or single slip joints. A double slip-joint ensures that there is absolutely no interruption to the flow whilst allowing for engine / exhaust movement from cold.

Centre Section

Rather than taking the usual approach of a stock style 'Y-Pipe' we opted to split our exhaust in different areas to exploit the maximum flow capabilities. We merge the downpipes as late as possible to allow for the gas speed to reduce and the temperatures to come down before merging the twin 76MM (I/D) downpipes into the single 102MM (I/D) Centre Section.

We opted for conical merge collectors, creating two hand made cones from flat sheet which rise from 76MM (I/D) to 102MM (I/D) and then merging together to allow for a seamless transition with no interruptions in flow.

Ground Clearance

The key issue with all 102MM exhaust systems on the R35 GTR platform is ground clearance at the rear due to the limitations of installing such a huge tube in the space available. We have gone to every effort to ensure that ground clearance is at a maximum but for the extra safety margin we also add additional skid plates to the most vulnerable areas of the exhaust to add some comfort to the owner knowing that even if there is an impact with the ground then the exhaust will be safe and not so easily damaged.

Rear Section

Featuring a Billet CNC Titanium 102MM V-Band & clamp, the rear section of the JCR Titanium Exhaust System is completely interchangeable with each of our optional rears. Tail Pipes are double skinned at the tip to prevent panting while maintaining minimal weight.
